palehorse666 terrifying giallo inspired post rock infused soundtrack, proving how versatile Electric Dragon can be. as much as I love his signature heavy darksynth style, I hope we see more experimentation like this in the future. Favorite track: Nightmare (Feat. Kriistal Ann).

impulseallenn This could be a retro video game soundtrack. A 70s italian horror ost, Even hints of metal are added in this. And nothing is overpowering it all blends perfect. I don't believe in the perfect album but this is pretty damn close. I listened to this over and over before I sleep and when i wake up. This is on the halloween playlist for sure. Favorite track: Curse Rotted.

Emmet Kiernan This is the album i've wanted to hear my whole life. More than just a tribute to the works of Simonetti and Frizzi, this cements Electric Dragon as a master of the craft- a name to sit as an equal alongside his forebearers.
The master is waiting... Favorite track: Black Mycelium.

SokK This is probably the best Horror Synth Album you'll hear this year : made by a dream-team of artists, this is pure cinematic horror at its best. Finding its roots in the past, but realised with modern technologies, Electric Dragon and his crew crafted a timeless masterpiece. Favorite track: Black Mycelium.

about

Something I always wanted to explore was the Italian slasher / giallo movie soundtrack style. It's always been present in my music to some extent... so whilst writing the 'Dark Water' LP, I started working on 'The Night School'.

This was to be a side-project, but in the end I decided to release it as an Electric Dragon album, because it's a more direct interpretation of my influences, than my usual 'darksynth' style.

'The Night School' is a progressive synth-rock/soundtrack album, inspired by the work of Goblin, Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Frizzi, and the films of Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci. Those guys have always been a huge inspiration for my music, and this album is a love letter to all those wonderful Italian horror movies.

It's been very refreshing and inspiring to work with friends Volkor X, who plays all the bass guitar on the album, Nick Pymm (drums), and voices Jessica Pymm (soprano), Kriistal Ann, Becca Starr, actor friend Brendan McCoy (voiceover) and cover artist Jim Gennisson. A huge thank you to all of you - it's been a blast.

I hope you enjoy listening as much as we did creating it.

Stay safe!

- Electric Dragon, April 2020.

P.S. Darksynth fans - you can expect a release later this year, as work is well underway on the next LP - 'Cataclysm'- stay tuned.
